Group, Innisfail, Australia.
Design, fabrication and installation
of an automatic hide brining facility to a capacity of 100 hides/hour. The facility
was appended to the existing beef processing plant and reduced the operating
personnel as well as improving hide quality and longevity.

Group, Rockhampton, Australia
Design and project management
of the upgrade of beef processing facilities to allow throughputs of up to 1300
cattle/day. This involved total redesign of slaughter, dressing facilities and
equipment as well as upgrading the capacity of the rendering department. The
plant now processes 1800 cattle/day on two shifts and is one of the largest
in the Southern Hemisphere.

Upgrade of beef slaughter facilities
to allow for the inclusion of a downward hide stripper and compliance to EC
standards. All work being conducted within a two-week shutdown so as to minimise
lost production.

Preparation of process layouts
for Indonesian and Malaysian abattoir projects. In particular, the design and
construction of a 'modular' beef processing facility near Jakarta processing
100 head/day. Other projects include process design for a 2000 sheep/day processing
plant in the Philippines.

Chief Engineer of a 613 head
a day beef export abattoir, co-ordinating all plant maintenance, capital upgrade
and associated work. The plant was complete with slaughter, boning, freezing,
cold/chill storage, rendering, steam generation, refrigeration and effluent
treatment facilities. All maintenance and most capital work being undertaken
in-house. The main markets for the product were Japan and US.

per day pork slaughter facility, incorporating skinning of carcasses. Full preparation
of documents and drawings for tender. Tender analysis and contract discussions/negotiations.

Full design, tendering and
project management of a 'High Care' specialist fish processing and retail packing
factory. The factory imported air freighted specialist fish from around the
world (swordfish, tuna, monkfish, Bass). The product was then filletted and
processed prior to being retail prepared for sale to major retail outlets such
as Marks & Spencer.

Preparation of a full business
plan and study into the feasibility of adding a chiller and boning room extension
to the existing tri-species abattoir. As the study showed positive results,
a full design and tender process for the new carcass chillers and boning room
was carried out as well. Contractors were then selected and the whole project
was project managed through to successful commissioning.

Investigation into the degradation
of insulated ceiling panels in a large -25oC cold store. Carried out a thermal
scan of the ceiling, a structural assessment of the steelwork and produced a
report with appropriate recommendations. Then wrote and tendered a full specification
for removal and reinstatement of new insulation panels and project managed the
works which were carried out in sub-zero conditions without the store being
shut down.

Prepared a full business plan
and feasibility study to look at the setting up of a new 40,000 head imported
sheep feedlot and an associated 2,500 head per day sheep slaughterhouse. Full
layout plans and estimated costs were prepared to accompany this layout. The
project also involved the preparation of full designs and specifications for
a new refrigerated vegetable storage facility, a livestock auction market (cattle,
camels, goats, sheep, birds of prey, horses, donkeys) and a fish auction.

of a 'High Care' poultry based ready meals factory. The facility takes in frozen
cooked poultry, thaws the product in bespoke thawing rooms and then passes the
product into an Assembly Area for collation of ingredients into retail ready
instant meals.

Full survey and assessment
of an existing slaughterhouse facility to recommend the upgrading work required
in order to maintain an EU Licence. Following this assessment, detailed specifications
and drawings were prepared for a new cutting room and two new chillers. The
project was tendered and then fully project managed through to granting of the
new cutting plant licence.
